We are happy to share information about premises we are considering renting for Lambertseter mosque. The premises are centrally located on Lambertseter, more precisely on Cecilie Thoresen vei, and have a size of just over 150 square metres. This room will be able to accommodate over 130 people at the same time, which gives us good opportunities to gather for prayer and fellowship.
The premises are located on the 1st floor and have two entrances/exits, which provides good accessibility. Although there are no parking spaces directly outside, there are several parking options in the immediate area that make it easy to visit the mosque.
We are still negotiating the lease of this premises, but we see great potential in it. The premises do not need extensive work before they can be used as a mosque, but some necessary changes must be carried out. This includes the demolition of existing structures such as kitchens, toilets and light walls, as well as the construction of new light walls and the construction of a new wet room.
One possible challenge we are considering is the ventilation system, which may need to be replaced. This may involve greater costs, but we are investigating this further and will keep you updated.
One of the biggest advantages of this venue is the absence of load-bearing walls and columns, which gives us a large, open space that can be adapted to our needs as a mosque.
We look forward to providing you with more information as we continue the negotiations and the process of securing this venue. Thank you for your interest and support!
With best regards,
The board of Lambertseter mosque
